Since I returned to Brazil, I became pretty convinced that the office had hired someone specifically to steal my pens. I had no pens when I arrived, had a hard time finding any, and when I did, within hours it would be gone.
This week I began working at the City of Youth instead of the downtown office and am in the process of putting my new office together. Today, however, I am back in the downtown office to take care of a few things. If there was any doubt in my mind about the Pen Stealer, it is gone now. My theory, as far as I am concerned, has been confirmed: I have only been gone a few short days, and when I came into the office this morning, there was a full supply of writing utensils on my desk. Apparently the Pen Stealer was dismissed when I moved to my new office.
