Seriously? The ice cream man?

It's 39º outside, and I just heard the ice cream man drive by.  I swear I only hear him in the winter... and sometimes the fall.  But never when it's blazing hot outside!  Why is that?   Does he actually sell anything when his freezer isn't even necessary to keep the ice cream cold?
